On the 9th and 10th of December 2015 the EFESEIIS Project organized the second stakeholders’ event in Tirana, Albania.
During the first session of the event: “the New Generation of Social Entrepreneurs“, a seminar on the New Generation of Social Entrepreneurs has been organized, focusing on the role of the new generation of social enterprises in promoting social innovation and utilizing different approaches from the previous generation of social entrepreneurs to create social value.
On the 10th of December, the partners and the stakeholders involved debated the results of the EFESEEIS survey and the questionnaire on behavioural features of social entrepreneurship.
The active participation of interested stakeholders is consistent with the project’s main aims, which entail the interaction of different experiences and contexts, with the purpose of analyzing the main similarities, differences and good practices between European countries.
Furthermore, Vjollca Lleshi of the Directorate for Implementation of Priorities and European Secretariat– Ministry of European Integration, Albanian Government- introduced the debate on the EU integration process of Albania and other Balkan countries in relation to social entrepreneurship.
This event came in a significant moment for Albania because the Albanian government in collaboration with different actors and partners including civil society, donors, local government and social entrepreneurs is discussing on a draft law regarding Social Entrepreneurship, which represents the first effort to regulate this field.
Indeed, exchanging experience and information with the best European experts of Social Entrepreneurship enriched the process and helped the responsible institutions to make a legislation based on European Community law.
