Regarding the future it is not our task to predict it, but to enable it (Wert-Voll gGmbH, Webpage)
The current manifestation of the Wert-Voll gGmbH (‘worthwhile’ private limited liability company with public benefit status) founded in 2014 developed out of two predecessor organizations. Initially the geographic focus of the organization was on south-east Europe and development aid but shifted over time increasingly towards Germany as well as children and adolescents as target group. Today the organization’s main target groups are children, adolescents and young adults, often with a migration background. The organization is convinced that children are the future and hence the key to solve urgent upcoming questions. Wert-Voll sets out to reach exactly this target group and to bridge understanding between different cultures as well as provide migrant children and children with a migrant background with better labor market and educational opportunities, but also to reconnect them with their natural environment and elder generations (future issues). The organization is located in the Ruhr Valley in the west of North Rhine Westphalia (NRW), a German federal state with a historically grown huge migrant population originating in the formerly booming mining industry. They perceive themselves as project developer providing other state and non-state actors with worthwhile concepts which can be easily implemented to solve the urgent problems of the future.
The organization is currently in a phase of consolidation. It is characterized by hybrid structures, organizational in the future combination of a private limited liability company with public benefit status with a cooperative legal form and financial by combining project funding with income generated on the welfare market.
